Looking at new radios - anyone tried this one?

So I have the factory iPod hookup. Not looking much into it, I took apart the console to put in a newer style cable for the phone not realizing it’s not a USB input

I have an adapter on the way but long run I’d be looking at a new head unit anyways.

Has anyone used one of these from ECS? Seems like a good stop gap until I really decide on what I will install long term I just don’t see any reviews or anything on them. Trying to avoid spending a big chunk on a radio now.

Hello,

We have people running these already. Most have reported back they really like them from the FB groups. If i find the post i will link up, its hard to find old FB post and some are blocked by the forums. We also have the back up cams if you want to do that.

For the price its the best bang for buck. And you get a Nav screen/carplay. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-bremmen-...126977698~brp/

Otherwise go oldschool and period correct and no carplay/nav.

ahh ok thanks, good to know. Does the kit come with the dash kit/frame it sits in or what? I have the radio and backup cam sitting in my cart, just waiting to see feedback before I place the order lol

Will I still need the HK bypass adapter (or however they are called)?

Its a single din which is a match to the factory radio in fitment. Its comes with the mounting tab push out frame. Wiring you have to match up on your own. Its comes with a tailpig ends. harman/kardon radio amp cars will need that merta kit or another H/K bypass kit. The metra kit just went on Back Order so would have to find one like it if you have H/K.

ahh ok thanks - seems like it’s either this option or go with a GROM unit. Completely forgot about the HK Enabler. I’ll have to find one online then

Yep,

Some people bypass the H/K amp. The H/K amp you have to work with or around. The head units we sell are the best you will find for the market. If my headunit or H/K amp ever goes, these are what i would buy.

you can install a double din, painstakingly yes. Only took me a couple hours, means customizing the dash. Also had to rewire all the speakers to bypass HK. Which wasn't a big deal considering I built a subwoofer into where the rear seat was!
