Curiosity stole 5 hours from me

Hi! I've spent the better part of five hours searching manuals and forums to find out what the two threaded inserts on the valve cover of my Clubman's N14 engine are—and I couldn't find anything on it!!! (Below is an image of the engine bay.) This search had nothing to do with performance or comfort, I just got far too curious.

I would be very grateful if anyone could tell me what they are! (:

The threaded inserts in question are circled in red.

They are shared with other model valve covers from PSA group (Citroen and Peugeot). We sell the Genuine PSA ones. They uses it for their intake and turbo system mounts.

What MINI used the one for is for the JCW Tuning kit badge mount location. Thats all.

You are welcome!

I would get that little cover snapped back on that holds the wires back. Also make sure that center ground wire is ok and correctly installed.
