GP rear hubs and other suspension parts

Hello Everyone,

I am pulling the rear suspension apart on my GP and wanted to refresh things while in there. I'm guessing I need R56 rear hubs, or can i just buy the 2006 r53 with 14mm stud openings? What other parts are r56 specific? I bought R53 hard bushings for the rear trailing arm bracket; did i buy incorrectly as it looks like the bracket is different? Or is it just the bracket, not the actual rubber bushing?

Crickets!

Ok, so i've worked out some of the information for future searches. The GP has the R56 rear trailing arm brackets, however, the actual bushing is interchangeable between the R53 and the R56, minus R53's built before 2003. So I will press out the old bushing and put in the harder durometer bushings intended for a r53.

Also, the rear subframe is the same between GP1 and the rest of the R53's.

The upper and lower arms are r53 specific.

Another tidbit, the rear shocks are interchangeable with the r56's, or you need to add the little metal adapter that allows the r53 to fit. The original owners installed R56 Koni yellows in the rear, and are physically larger than the r53 equivalent.
