Anyone know who makes the OEM intake boot for BMW? I bought a Rein brand in late 2018 for $67 on RockAuto and its cracked and is constantly coming loose.
According FCP Euro, REIN is OEM ....
ECS Tuning sells the OEM for $140. The aftermarket brands are around $100.
Ah ... turbo version I see. I would check the aftermarket for an aluminum version. OEM loves using plastic, and it always ends up cracking. That goes for the boost tubes too. My wife's X3 335i blew the plastic boost tube pipe while she was driving, and she really freaked out ... no power baby!
Rein is not OEM. Gets hot near the engine/turbo and after time degrades the rubber. I would go with the silicone, they hold up the longest, I have not seen one of those split.
I have not seen the Genuine MINI sold in aftermarket yet (as OEM). They still might have an agreement.
