Best Front-Rear camera system with over-mirror LCD?

I'd like to add a dashcam to my F57, but also want to improve my view of rear traffic. (Still using the stock rear camera only for backing up.)

There are plenty of low-cost systems available, with front & rear cameras plus an LCD that goes over the mirror, but reviews tend to be lukewarm at best.
And what would you expect for around $200 - $300?

I'd like something of better quality, but can't find anything.
There is one LCD that is MUCH more expensive, but does not come with cameras, and is sold by a company I've never heard of. - And no reviews to be found, so I'm not taking a chance on that one.

Any ideas / suggestions?

If you want to keep it Genuine MINI

On the rear for the f57 their really is not one with the top down. With the top up you could suction cup it to the rear window glass? I guess you need a front one and something that taps into the rear backup cam?

Thx, but that Mini version is not at all what I'm looking for. It's just an overpriced front recorder.

You're right that the rear-mount will be difficult. It will probably have to go just under the tailgate handle, with some drilling involved.

Using the existing backup camera would be far from ideal, since 1: You couldn't then see both views at the same time, and 2: that mounting position is too low to properly replace what the rear-view mirror shows.

Ok, worth a shot.

The front cam whatever you buy needs to kick on when car is bumped. High res screen and camera, and taps to rear factory cam. That's going to be hard to find. Might have to be two systems.

I have the Acumen DC4K front and rear dashcams in my 2022 Mini Cooper S Convertible. They work fine and are high resolution, but they do NOT provide an easy additional way to see behind me when driving. (It would be great if they did.)

They also have their own WiFi for control, that doesn't play well with CarPlay. To solve that, my iPhone has the CarPlay, and my wife's iPhone has the Acumen app.

Yeah, you may be right.
If I had to pick only one, it would be the rear-view mirror replacement. - especially for night driving, where the camera will have better resolution than a human eye looking at a mirror. Not to mention if you have people in the back seats.
