Soft clutch

Hello!
R53/2006 stock brakes: After some spirited driving yesterday, during which, as usual, i baked my brakes, lost braking power, and started smelling them through the window (all normal so far) i noticed something i can not explain. The clutch became ultra soft. I could engage gears without problem but it really was strange. My first thought was that as the two circuits share fluids, maybe the "hotness" of the brake fluids affected-somehow- the softness of the clutch. Does this make any sense? Any other explanation please?
When car cooled down everything was back to normal (clutch stiffness included)
Thanks in advance

Moisture in the system

Yes - shared hydraulic system.
My guess would be moisture.
Time to bleed the hydraulic fluid.

Just my guess.
