Hi, I can't believe my luck or lack thereof. I was adding oil to my Clubman this morning and the cap to the quart of oil fell down the front of the engine compartment. I can't see where it went, I moved my car to see if it fell out and it didn't. I stuck a small broom handle down there to see if I could feel it and that didn't help either. What I'm wondering is if there is anything down there that gets really hot that would cause the cap to melt or ignite? Will it eventually fall out? Included a pic of the area where it fell, directly below where the dipstick is located.
Noting hot down their except the exhaust in the center, but its near the pullies and belt. Its might be sitting on the splash guard ion the driver side. Either way i would get it out of their so it will not hurt anything if it moves.
