Belt line bodywork clips broken - can they be replaced?

I went about replacing the chrome belt line with the genuine Mini black belt line on my F56 JCW today.

During the process and despite being careful a couple of the plastic clips disintegrated in places meaning I have a slight gap between some of the beltline and the bodywork.

Can these plastic clips be replaced? (Parts 3 and 5)

The resulting panel gaps

I'm sure you can get replacement clips from your dealer. I just received my 24 JCW and that's was the reason I wrapped mine instead of replacing and taking a chance of breaking things.

# 3 4 and 5 are the clip into parts on the rear beltline

These clip into those pieces and that's all you can get.

If you want to change the whole looks you can get the blackline beltline kits.

ECS - thankyou for your reply.

I already have swapped to the Mini black beltline kit:

The issue is the mount Rails that run along the bodywork the above beltline trim clips into.

Can these mount rails be replaced?

Part numbers 51377300023 and 51137302545 from the realoem page you linked to.

Couldn’t refuse for £275

So these clips for the bodywork shoulders - do they just clip / slide in easy enough?

Thankyou ECS.

Until I sort the clips (I think the rear quarter one is just unseated) - it won’t cause any water ingress issues into the car will it?

Welcome,. side panel i dont think their is a weep hole for the water. Might get a little water in the side panel, but have not dug into the F56 platform myself.

Trunk lid has a weep/drain hole as the bottom, so the back should be fine.

You think water will be building up and sitting in the side panel?

I would 100% put some blue painters tape over it for now until you get it fixed.

Thing is - to the left of that is a gap between the rear window trim and glass that water goes down anyway?

I still would just tape along the entire molding until it's fixed. The water will just run over the tape.

Yep i would use something like electrical tape. That way it will match. Hopefully it will stick or painters tape which i know will stick.

Removed and reseated - the ‘blade’ that secures the waistline trim into the retaining clip groove wasn’t seated correctly.

Now sitting fine:

Another issue discovered - non functional rear wiper - time for another thread 🤦🏼

Now that's better

But stinks about the wiper, did you unplug something? Remove the rear inside panel?

Nothing at all - literally just removed the exterior trim.

No interior panels or electrics touched as only had the car 3 weeks and luckily it’s in warranty so will be claiming!
