Rear Brakes at 10,000 Miles ??!!

A few times recently after wet weather, I heard a loud clunk when backing up first thing in the morning. (This sounded exactly like an issue I had with several of the BMWs I’ve owned in the past. I was told it was a sticking parking brake, like my current MINI, they were Manuals)
While driving today, the alert symbol appeared. When I checked, “Rear Brake Pads” was indicated. My car has 10,000 miles! What is going on? and can this be related to the “clunk” I was hearing?
here is a screenshot of the app:

My daughter had the same problem with her manual F55. She had one seized rear caliper causing the noise in reverse which wore down the brake pads prematurely. Could also be a sticky caliper pin which I had on my car.

Interesting. I have no intention of paying for brake pads at 10,000 miles. I know this is going to be a fight.

OEM pads are soft. What is your driving style and conditions? City driving wears out brakes quicker.

Yep, seen this on the F56+ platform, seem like the factory pads are very soft, or the rear caliper / e-brake tends to stick or drag.

I would get some akebonos if they dont cover it under warranty.
