R59 Windows auto up?
Windows auto up?
My R59 had some re-programming that was necessary, apparently due to the PO's battery replacement. The windows didn't auto-anything (other than the auto drop when you open the door). I was able to use the "hold the toggle down" method to restore auto-down. Not able to get auto-up. The dealer said all convertibles did not do A-U. But, my wife's F57 auto-ups just fine. So, is the dealer FOS, or is A-U a feature missing from the R59? As a parallel issue, the windows don't go back up when the top does. That's not so much of a surprise, as you have to complete the top closing manually. So, that's normal then?
Many thanks!
Many thanks!
Roadster don't come with auto-up windows programming for safety reasons and I'm willing to bet the dealer will not do it for you for legal reasons.
However if you find the right programming tool you can program them. I did it a while back with something called Carissa. They were agressive with their subscription so I did not continue to use it. Unfortunately when my car was reprogrammed at some point I lost that function.

As I mentioned Carista has suscription to use it. $10/month. $50/yr, etc... on top of the price for the device.
After a year I didn't find I was using it enough to justify a suscription. Cancelling wasn't particularly easy if I recall. I had to contact them directly. Maybe they've streamlined things a bit by now (?)
If I recall also the function wasn't available readily. I had to ask them, and they did some software update or something. This is maybe 5-7 years ago though.
The programming did work well at the time if that function still is available!
A bit after I had some other footwell module issues. I doubt it was the cause but I always asked myself if the programming did something. Unlikely I suppose.
@ECSTuning
Do you remember if they had function such as brake service reset and brake piston automated reset for pad and rotor change?

Its under the models and what they support and what function. Its dependent on model. Things have changed a lot since I last used it.

I wonder if Autel has that function available from their OBD2 tool/app. I picked that up in order to get the car to recognize a new key for comfort access. Sounds like a project.
Dont know, autel i know scans some things, but coding is another thing. Let us know.
