2016 S Auto - No paddles?

From everything I've read, I should have paddle shifters on my 2016 S Auto with JCW interior package. Was this a separate package that added them or did someone remove them?

I think you also need Sport Auto Transmission (S2TBA) to get paddle shifters.

Interesting. Is there any difference between the standard and sport transmission besides the paddles?

Yes, the car feels more aggressive with the sport transmission. Technically, sport transmission is not required to activate paddle shifters. It's just how features and options are packaged by Mini. I replaced the standard steering wheel in my 2017 F55 S with a JCW steering wheel with paddle shifters. You only need BimmerCode to activate the paddle shifters. You can see Flappy Paddles Retrofit for more info.

It's hard to believe there is something more aggressive than what the auto feels like in S gear + sports mode. Interesting.
