N14 block warp

Hi there, just wondering how susceptible the n14 block in a 2011 jcw is to warping when the engine overheats? I know the heads can warp but haven’t seen much info regarding the alloy blocks. Reason I ask is I’m looking at buying a used jcw which is suspected to have a blown head gasket due to it overheating after about 30mins and water leaking from the expansion tank. As far as I know the engine still runs fine. Too much of a risk?

My auto tech buddies told me to stay away from engines that had suffered from low oil or overheating. Generally they make for poor engine rebuilding candidates.
