New tires and the tire pressure light came on

Half a mile from the tire shop and boom the big red tire pressure light came on. It’s extremely cold here today in the teens, so could that be the cause? Or is there some stupid computer reset thing I have to have a shop do?

If wheels weren't put back to original locations, TPMS sensors will need to be reset. Instructions are in the owners manual, or find a knowledgeable indie dealer or mini club member to help you.

As a first step, I would double check the tire pressures. After setting and verifying tire pressures are at factory settings, perform the reset in the onboard computer. If the light comes back after that, I would go back to the tire shop and have them verify the sensors.

I got it. Installer brought up the TPMS setting but only pressed once to clear it instead of press-and-hold to reset. All good now, thanks everyone!
