Digital cluster +

Hi all,

So I have a (new to me) F56 JCW. The previous owner did all sorts of work on the car (coding etc). I’m curious about two things.

1. He replaced the JCW speedo with the LCI digital speedo. Based on my research, that’s just a physical swap - no coding needed, right?
2. The emergency braking is throwing a “not functioning” error on the nav. Is this something that might have been coded out, or am I looking at some hardware malfunction? No codes stored in the key.

Thanks!

I recall a giant thread in the forum about retrofitting the digital speedo, read it through about a year ago. I could be wrong but I recall (1) the physical swap has some particulars and (2) may require coding. Should be findable if you look, it's hard to miss. BIG thread.

Thanks - let me search. Guess I’m more worried about my #2 - the digital speedo is installed and works fine, but it would suck to have to undo it just to go bug hunting.

Here you go -- found it.

And yeah, it's a long thread. But you'll probably find answers there. Folks have definitely pulled this off.
