Brake Light Fuse

Hi, I have a 2006 Mini Cooper. Both brake lights do not go on when I step on the brake. I change the bulbs but still not working. I noticed that when I put on the the car alarm the brake lights would turn on and then off. So I know that the brake light bulbs are in good working order.

I'm assuming that it must be some sort of electrical wiring or fuse issue that will not turn on the brake light bulbs on when I step on the brake.

Where do I find the brake light fuse?

I looked at the fuse box underneath the steering well to the left and the diagram does not show it.

Any advise in troubleshooting the issue would be appreciated. Thx!

From: Under the car. As per normal.

Or brake light switch. Would first check connector is properly seated, wire lead not severed or ripped out, etc. Can then check switch and lead with a multi-meter for 12V and on/off connectivity when actuated, or just easter-egg it with a new one, about $30 at your local parts store or half that plus a little shipping from these guys:
