I recently lowered my 2012 R55 and I can't comprehend how doing so would produce the issue I'm having. I can start out in 1st gear (auto) just fine, no shaking or vibrations but as I accelerate normally it will shake around 2nd gear. I can't tell if it is the shift to 2nd or just speed related. The Shake seems less the more gas I give it (i.e. if i stomp on it, barely any shake). It is still very drivable, just annoying.
Maybe it is just a coincidence and my motor mount are bad, but if someone has ideas where I'd look, id appreciate it.
The Clubman looks good! Which lowering kit did you go with? Your rear looks lower than mine, front looks about the same. I'm lowered on Megan Racing coilovers.
There have been multiple reports of driveshaft vibration after lowering going all the way back to early R53 cars. Some claim it to be imperfections in the axels. It's possible its motor mount related, but I couldn't tell you for sure. Not everyone that lowers their Mini experiences it. Mine never had any vibrations after lowering.
As stated above, imperfections in the axle is a theory I’ve seen a lot on the forums. If the axles are worn enough, a wear spot/groove forms. After lowering they supposedly vibrate due to running in and out, or at the edge of it due to the new angle of the u-joints. Kind of like what you feel in the steering wheel and car when the tires tramline on a bad road.

Thanks, I'm running megans too. Probably will raise the rears 1/4 inch. Had some rubbing with a rear passenger last night.

How many miles were on the axles when lowered?
I guess it could be the axle. Is it common to only happen at one specific speed point. I verified last night that it vibrates before/during/after 2nd shift. So probably not gear related. I have about 85k on the mini when lowered. Not sure if axles are stock or have been replaced before. Bought at 82k.
