Bimmercode coding

Hey, I was thinking of delving into the world of Bimmercode...

In that regard a couple questions:
1) I want to use my iphone to do this? Do phone's work okay, or do I need a laptop (I have a cheap chromebook).
2) If I can use my phone, do I need to use wifi service or can I just use my cell data plan?

Thank you,
Byron

Pretty sure all your questions are answered on the BimmerCode website:

I was hoping for some more real world experience type responses, not just if I could or not.

I do appreciate the link though, so thank you.

You need the phone app and an ODBII adaptor (bluetooth or wifi, their site has a list of supported ODBII adaptor). You don't need data plan but make sure you upgrade your app to the latest version before coding. I use Bimmercode Android version (also has iOS support) on my phone with bluetooth ODBII adaptor. It's recommended that turning on airport mode when using Bimmercode to avoid disruption during coding (no cell connection and wifi in my case with only bluetooth turned on).
