R56 Non-S: Whining Noise from Fuel Tank
Hi, I need help here. I have this 2011 Cooper with just over 60k miles on it since brand new. I recently replaced the charcoal canister because it triggered the pump gun to shut. After replacement, I noticed this whining sound that is more noticeable at the rear of the car. Then I pinpointed where it was coming from. It was coming from the underside of the left fuel tank. Strangely enough, the whining sound almost goes away when I touch the center of the metal band under the fuel tank by hand. I uploaded a youtube video at the link below.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone can explain why this is happening.
Thanks!
