Anyone ever try it? I’ve tried to look but I may just not have the correct words. The sunroof function on mine no longer works (one side pulls while the other is stationary) it seems to replace it is almost the entire value of the car (nada value is about $5500).

I guess the gears on either side would need to be removed for the sunroof function and then I would need a way to latch the sunroof closed.

 

I havent' taken my apart yet, but based on all the reading I have been doing, you probably snapped a cable. The sunroof portion is driven by a motor under the access panel in the central bow. There is a cable mechanism on each side. Sounds like you have one working and one not.
