I have the stock injectors and I would like to upgrade to 380cc JCW injectors. I find many options but I would like for someone who has purchased original 380cc JCW injectors to show a picture of the injectors, share a link, or share a part number. I don't want to buy the eye-catching ones that cost $100 for four.
If you're looking to buy OEM JCW-spec 380cc injectors, this recent post and subsequent tells all you need to know including pics upon receipt. Those whom ordered before I did on 14April got theirs from dealer stock within a few days. Mine are still back-ordered, coming from Germany. I'm anxious to get them but the price is good and I'll know they're the real deal once installed. Just now checked and still $94.88/each...
They are the silver bodied JCW OEM 380cc injectors. Probably the best price you will see on them, too.
Just checked the link. No image showing the injector(s). The injectors described, only fit '05 - '08 R53's.
As I understand (correct me if I'm wrong); The JCW 380cc are the equivalent to the Siemens 380cc, yet the site indicates (the ones you link to) does not fit an '04 R53.
If true, What changed in the '05 R53?
I have installed the same injectors as Nervos posted, in my '04 R53. They are genuine Siemens 380's; = They fit and work beautifully.
Are those not Siemens in your link?
Just curious.
^^^ Received my ordered JCW 380cc injectors from the above linked MINI of Orland Park's online parts store. I missed their in-stock inventory, so waited a full month for BMW Germany warehouse fulfillment. That put my "tune" project on hold but IMO, well worth the wait with consideration of potential results using other than genuine. My install being a bit more involve with need to remove the W-2-A intercooler with associated coolant plumbing, I opted for a "once and done" approach which is now planned in the coming days.
As to question on actual manufacturer, I'm looking at one now that (as already mentioned and shown) has silver-grey body with pale blue connector. Molded on that connector is: "DEKA" on one side and "7574132" on opposite side corresponding to BMW P/N 13-53-7-574-132. So if I understand correctly, these are Siemens-Deka with BMW's box label also marked "Made in Italy". Hope this helps...
Finally got to installation and decided to test the JCW injectors from BMWPartsWorldwide. Previously, I've measured their resistance and it was good for all 4 (around 13 Ohm or something like that). Now I used a tester that apply voltage with pulses. And guess what? 3 of 4 are DEAD. Seriously? Here is the video of a single good injector:
Uhm... Never mind! Since electrically each of the 'bad' injectors were fine, I figured that they just stuck closed. I managed to unstuck them all! Here is my amateur video:
