Yet Another Crank/No Start - but with a Twist!

I have a 2010 Clubman S, Automatic with about 95K miles on it. No drivability problems at all (until now). Got in it to move it and the engine stalled. Started it back up and it ran for a few seconds then stalled again, and so on. I finally got it run long enough to move it where I wanted it, and it hasn't run since. It will crank and crank but won't start. I ran diagnostic and the only code is: AOB4 CAS: Engine Start, Starter Operation. Which is a weird one because the starter is operating.

I replaced the under-hood relays with known good ones and it made no difference. After talking to a mechanic and searching online, it looked like my problem was a faulty JBE module - this is the fuse panel in the passenger footwell. I ordered a new one from a MINI dealer, installed it, and got it coded. I hit the button and it fired right up and ran great! I shut it off and tried again to make sure it wasn't a fluke and again it started right up and ran great. I called it a night and thought I had it fixed.

And now the twist: I came out to shop the next day with the intention to test all the various accessories to be sure the JBE was properly coded, and guess what? Crank and no start. Same as before. Same solitary fault code.

I checked for power at the electric fuel pump and there was none. To see what would happen, I "hotwired" the fuel pump to force it to run and still no start. So the problem is more than just the fuel pump not running. I also noticed that the tachometer doesn't move when cranking (it normally does).

I've already spent $1000 and am no closer to figuring this out. Does anyone here have any suggestions for what to try next?

In my case it was a bad ECU. I had it cloned to a replacement unit and that took care of it. I wish I'd figured that out before replacing the JBE module!

Dealt with something similar recently. Theres an evap line that runs from the fuel tank to the intake manifold. Someone either disconnected mine (I just bought the car from someone who said it wouldnt start) or it fell off. Plugged it back in and it started right up. The previous owner took it to the dealership and had a friend look this car over and they all missed that disconnected line.
