Help w/ R56 base spark plugs

Hi all, I am newer to the site but have searched multiple times now on here and cant seem to find a good answer. I'm in need of changing my spark plugs (and coils while I'm at it) on my 2010.
What is the best option between the Beru and NGK plugs? platinum vs iridium?

This car is used for standard vehicular activities, I'm not taking it to tracks. My main priorities are engine life and fuel efficiency.

TYIA!

DENSO IXUH221/5356 0.4 mm Iridium Power spark plugs 0.034 pre-gapped is what I just put in my 2013 base Cooper. The original (47K mile) Beru 'Platin' plugs were severely worn (gap must have been a quarter inch). The platinum Beru's were in otherwise good condition. The Denso's were $41.20 out the door from NAPA. The Cooper was misfiring on hard acceleration with the worn Beru's (which prompted me to replace them), and fuel economy didn't seem to suffer much. Think I'll check or replace at the next 30K mile interval. Beru platinums don't last much past 40K based on my one-time experience. The iridiums (actually iridium tipped I think) may last longer, but you'll always have the ground electrode wear issue I believe. There seems to be some disdain for the Denso brand, but don't how valid it is especially for a base Cooper. Good luck with your decision; no need to obsess over the brand IMHO, save your $$$.

Of course a company responds to you, pushing their $250 kit for plugs. Hopefully you found something under the $75 range.

That $250 kit also includes new coils but still crazy expensive. I replaced one faulty coil on my base Cooper with a new Bosch Automotive 0221504800 OEM Ignition Coil for $21 from Amazon. Advise putting a spare coil or two under your seat as they can cause misfire codes anytime and may leave you in limp mode if bad enough; easy roadside replacement if you have the star bit handy to remove the plastic engine cover. Here's the DENSO Spec Sheet.
