Does anyone know when the 2023 configuration tool might go live on the MINI USA website? Or when the press kits might be available? I believe I've read that orders being placed now are for 2023s and the basic press release says they are going into production this month.

If it’s like in years past, the online configurator will take a month or two to be updated. You’re correct, the switchover to 2023 models was March 1 (though I’m pretty sure the plants have been shutdown for all of March because of the conflict in Ukraine).

 

I heard it's live today but a little buggy.

 

Indeed, it is live today! Seemed to work 98% well, but yeah a bit buggy.

 

I checked it out today, but seems either buggy or a lot of options aren't showing. I don't see base trims (only signature and iconic) and I don't see BRG as a color choice, hopefully that has not actually been removed...

 

A couple folks on the SE forum talked to their dealer and you can still order BRG and any of the three trim levels. Not sure why the configurator is so messed up.

 

I don’t see black as a color option for the JCW 3 door. Wonder if that’s a bug, can’t imagine black not being an option.

 

I reached out to a dealer in my vicinity regarding the configurator and ordering options. He said he's also seen some of the configurator bugs and reached out to their product specialist to let them know. I'm sure there have been several complaints. He went ahead and did a test of what my order would look like and it seems all the options I was looking at are still available (seems heated steering wheel currently is not, which I think I saw posted elsewhere here).
