Lend me your ears...

Hi all,

I had my new-to-me Clubman gone over by a specialist before buying it and he said there was no apparent timing chain noise. I took a video and sent it to a mechanic friend (unfamiliar with the Mini brand). I thought it sounded a bit loud and I'm paranoid about the timing chain thing! This friend feels it sounds like a timing chain issue is present but really wasn't sure...

Would any of you kind people mind having a listen at these two short videos of my engine running? Thanks in advance.

How is the power delivery? Does it feel smooth? These engines are noisy…

Thanks for your reply!
The power delivery seems smooth to me. It's quicker than my previous car (2017 Nissan Micra).
