How Often Do You Change Plugs?

I have a 2017 Cooper Hardtop with 47,000 miles. Dealer is recommending fluids, new spark plugs "soon" or I can wait until my Mini tells me so.
Opinions?

Thanks,
Joseph

I'm from the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." school of thought. Don't forget that the dealership model is built on profit from service not the sale of new cars. They are ALWAYS going to find something wrong with your car. At 47,000 miles neither your fluids nor your plugs should need to be changed, with the possible exception of an oil change.

The car isn't going to tell you when to change the plugs/coils. If you're getting stuttering on hard acceleration, it's time. If not, just keep on trucking.

plugs doesn't have a service reminder on mine .... the car will 'tell you' by loss of performance I suppose.

Dealer recommended mine at 45,000 which was about 4 years old ..... I did it .... I think the 'book' number is 50,000

I track mileage of all my vehicles from the day they are purchased. The graphs of the mileage and average mileage tell me when a tune up is required. Aside from this, as previously said, if it isn't broke don't fix it.

I just traded in my 2017 3 cylinder 4 door with 148,000 miles with the original plugs. It was starting to need a little warm up before setting off, but I'm not sure if it was the plugs.

It seems like the F series 3 and 4 cylinders are very dependable.
