anybody changed out plugs yet? i was looking at the e3 plugs . just wondering what my nam family has to say.

 

I have yet to actually see the spark plugs out of an R56 MCS. From what I can tell you need something like a 12mm 12 point narrow wall deep-well socket to get them out of the cylinder head. They're NOT standard spark plugs by any means. They look very much like the plugs used in the BMW N54 engine used in the 135i, 335i, and 535i models.

 

Last time I checked they were only available for the MC (N12B16A) & not for the MCS (N14B16A).

 

thank you guys, i was told they were ngk plugs . my sa didnt tell me the number of the plugs. i have over 30k on my mini and my service on the car will run out before i can even get another free oil change. i need to call him and see if they will give me a full service before its out. if you guys find out anything else let me know . thank you again.

 

We will have the BRISK ones out for the R56 pretty soon. Will also test em on the dyno to see as well!
