Hi guys! R56 Mini Cooper S. Dash indicator says a light is out - checked headlight, high beams, fogs, left turn, right turn, reverse…even the little lights on the rear bumper. WHAT AM I MISSING??? 🤔

 

Do you have LEDs installed to any of those locations?

 

Nope. 100% stock, which is why this is so baffling. 🤷🏻‍♂️

 

Brake lights? Those are more difficult to check, since you have to push the pedal down

 

What about licence plate illumination bulbs?

 

Had the teen learner press in the brake petal last night. They’re good.

Also, check parking lights above the fogs:

 

Gen 2s have a history of meting lamp bases.
Remove the circuit board that holds the lamps in the tail light section, and inspect

 

Winner winner, chicken dinner! It was the license plate light. Just one one out but because they bulbs were so cheap (less than $7/pair of Hellas on Amazon) and easy to access, I replaced them both. Thanks Mini Hive!
