F55/F56 Mini died
Mini died
Hi folks, my Cooper d has died, and the garage can't find the cause. Not a BMW garage.
It has had egr problems for a while, I have been using redex diesel additive, and spraying egr cleaner in the intake hose every now and again to keep things running.
But about 3 weeks ago, I was driving and it went into limp mode, and said drive carefully to a service center. After about 6 miles it got worse and came to a halt, with a burning smell.
I could not get it to start, and even the hazard lights would work for about 30 seconds and then cut out. Every time I put them back on they would go off again.
The car was recovered and a new egr valve fitted, but the car is still dead. They are getting an auto electrician to look at it, but I don't hold out much hope.
Any ideas please? They say they have cleared down all the faults, but it still won't work. They are baffled.
The loss of the vehicle has cost me a lot of money.
Thanks, Nick.
