Downshift causes swerve.

I have a 2006 R52 automatic. When downshifting to accelerate, the car swerves to the left. Afterwards, when shifting back up, the car swerves to the right. Has anyone heard this behavior before? Thanks in advance.

I recently replaced the struts & mounts and didn't see anything out of place. There are no noises or squeaks. If it is the arms, would that be a potential symptom?

Kick each front tire in the tread face from front to back. If the wheel moves more than a few mm then the control arm bushing are worn.
