Coolant Temp sens wiring

Oye, I broke the connector and I swapped it but now I think I got the wires crossed. P118 voltage to high then I switched the wires and now p0117 voltage too low. Can someone just help me cheat and tell me which wire is on the driver side and which on the passenger? It’s yellow and white and my book doesn’t have a diagram. Pls!

Need a year, model, and engine N# to ensure we look up the correct wiring.

To depin

Could someone also explain how to depin that connector? I was only able to put a new female on there because I had a fresh one. I know it has something to do with pulling out the very front until it pops to an outward position but then the wires are still stuck in there

According to the Bentley manual, yellow wire is on pin 1, white wire is on pin 2. At least one of the numbers should be engraved on the connector. This sensor isn't keyed so there is no "passenger" or "driver" side.

Most connector pins need a special tool for removal. They fit around the pin and compress a "locking" feature on the pin so it can be pulled out the back. Similar to some connector "locking" features. Without this tool, it's best to cut the wires and crimp / solder new pins. Just be sure to minimize how much is cut off --- don't want the harness to be too short. Check RealOEM for correct pin part numbers. N14 connector number is X6232 --- fits on Engine Temperature Sensor B6232. New pins are installed from the back until the locking feature is engaged, already crimped / soldered to the wire.

Coolant temp sensor resistance

Well I had my wires right and then switched them thinking I had it wrong with p0118 and swapped them back(couldn’t depin with my special tools, cut and shrunk) p0117 so it’s probably faulty sensor. Could someone tell me the resistance? Suspect bad is 7.5 and suspect good is 6.33.

also where do I get the actual manual? I apparently bought ten bucks worth of a pirated Haynes manual that’s not helpful.
