new mini owner and bought m7 high flow intake hose. One small question
Hello! New mini r56s owner here! Love my little mini and im having fun driving it. Last month i purchased M7 maxx-flo air intake system and the high flow silicone intake hose for my n18 mini. My brother was helping me with the install today, and was saying that the high flow intake hose is not a real product. I couldnt really wrap the head around the idea and the thought of this, but after reading the website and webpages, i cant really find out what this product actually does. My brother says the sensors plug into the connectors, but what type of metrics and data is this using if air doesnt pass through it? I also cannot for the life of me find a single installation post, youtube install post, or any thing on google to help with the install and what this product DOES. ive read the webpage, and the pdf from the website, but still confused on this. Did i waste $200 on a non-functioning product? Can someone help break down what actually happens with this piece installed? Im not the most mechanically inclined and my brother usually helps with installs. But im trying to learn.. thank y ou
The intake and intake tube are more for noise than power. You might pick up like 5hp. The connector that comes with the tube is a resistor for the heater element for the PVC inlet on the tube. It plugs into the harness so it doesn't throw a check engine light.
