2014 S 3-Door F56 B48 HPFS High Pressure Fuel Pump Noisy but NOT Noisy.

The high-pressure fuel pump in this 2014 Mini Cooper S sounds bad but it isn't. That is a new HPFS making the same exact noise as the old one. There is something else under the valve cover causing these HPFS's to be noisy when plugged in. And they also slow the engine idle speed down when plugged in. That slow-down might be normal. I don't know. This is my first Mini. But I know that noisy HPFP is not normal. Has anyone seen this before?
