F55/F56 Can't pump gas - Fuel pump shutting off
Can't pump gas - Fuel pump shutting off
Sorry for the double post, as this was put in the wrong thread - reposted it in F56 Stock Problems.
Perhaps I missed it, but I am a bit surprised to not find this topic already on this forum.
I have a 2015 Cooper S that has stopped accepting fuel, regardless of the station, pump, angle of pumping, etc. I have read about a service bulletin ( link below ) that addresses a known issue impacting F56 (Cooper S) produced from 3/2014 to 7/2014. My Cooper S' production date is 6/2015. I replaced the fuel tank breather valve today, but that had no impact. It seems that both of the BMW/Mini dealers that I spoke with in my area are not familiar with this service bulletin. My intent is to attempt to get to the breather hose tomorrow and inspect its condition... Have any of you had this issue in years outside of what is published in the service bulletin? Is the only fix for this a fuel tank replacement, as other old forums suggest (reddit & minif56)? Any knowledge or experience that can be shared on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

This actually makes sense.. and I confirmed that it too worked on my car. With the engine (and fuel pump) running, the pressure in the fuel tank is released, allowing new fuel to be pumped into the tank.
All of my research so far has pointed back to a fault gas tank. Car has no codes.

I eventually started tossing p2189 p2187 on my Porsche a few years later. One issue is purge valve which controls vapors.
