R56 Rear Defroster Inop

2011 MCS
We're now seeing our first Morning Frost and Ice here in Maryland and I'm noticing that my rear window defroster has stopped working since last winter. The 30 amp F40 fuse in the passenger footwell is intact, and I pulled the trim under the hatch window but the harness leads only to the brake light. I haven't pulled further trim off to locate the electric leads to the window grid, nor have I been able to locate (nor even find any indication of the existence of) a rear defroster relay for this model.
Any ideas from the group? Where are those leads? Is there a relay and where?
A forum search was not helpful.
Thanks

Look for Rear Window Defogger Relay "K13" in the footwell module. I'd pull it and check for oxidation; maybe re-seating it would help. YMMV

Thanks for the reply, but that's not what I'm seeing in the passenger side fusebox in my 2011 R56 MCS.
This is what I see: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ml#post4556832

EDIT: I now realize that I was confused by the horizontal orientation of hndle's diagram. The referenced K13 relay appears from that diagram to be in the lower right corner, but is actually located in the upper right corner when the panel is viewed in its correct vertical orientation.

Nonetheless, K13 appears to be half buried under the footwell trim such that it cannot be removed without removing at least some of that trim, or perhaps even the retainer itself.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what needs to be removed, and how?

Additionally, the red/orange backlight illuminates the Rear Window defrost button when I press it, but I hear no clicking sound in the K13 relay when the switch is depressed.
Any other thoughts?

Thanks
