I have a 2014 S and I was wondering if anybody had a template of the intake shield/box that comes with after market CAI box before I go try to reinvent the wheel.

I'm getting ready to install my intake but I was going to make a box for it and I figured it looked easy enough and I have access to a shop that I can do it just wondering if anybody has or can get the measurements.

Just a thought but I have been playing around with the idea of using a silicon brake hose to push air up to the CAI and use a can housing around the filter itself. You'd have to make a bracket to hold the can off the filter and maybe give it about 1.5-2 inches of clearance around the filter. Here is a picture as a guide for what I am talking about...

 

Also, I would suggest that the can not be sealed off in case you starve the motor which may not be readily apparent if it's minimal...
