Car cranks but no start

Hi everyone. New to the mini world I have a 2006 r53 manual. Love this car. However recently I had no cooling fan. I had just replaced it a few months ago. So thought maybe there was a broke. Wire somewhere. So took the engine compartment fuse box out and started to look for corrosion or broken wires. Found nothing. Put the fuse box back in and now the car won’t start. I noticed that in fuses f2,3,4,5 I had no power on either side of the fuse. So I presumed I had damaged the fuse box. I bought a used one from a fella. Hooked it up today and noticed the exact same fuses have no power to them. Checked the connections to
make sure nothing was loose but am scratching my head to figure it out. Hopefully someone has had this same issue thanks for any help

Check all grounds in the engine compartment especially near the cooling fan you replaced.

Re- seat the connectors. Maybe not all the way in?

Replace the crank position sensor, its on the front of the engine. Without a good signal, it cuts the fuel pump (safety mechanism). First check if the connector is seated correctly or you might have damaged the connector/wires when yu put everything back in.

It sits behind the 2 plastic cable guides, on the right side of the engine (below the supercharger trumpet)

I can hear the fuel pump turning on though. So would that not be working?

Same issue with my R56

I had the same issue a few months back so I figured maybe I could give the little bit of insight I have.

I had a dead battery a while back so I had to get a jump. While I was jumping I got my car to start and run for a bit before it sputtered and cut out.

After that it would only crank and wouldn't turn over.

I took it to a mechanic and he mentioned it having something to do with the access control module?

Not guaranteed to be the same solution but worth looking into.

They tried replacing it with a used part but that didn't fix it. They ended up grounding something and that seemed to fix it.
