Water in Oil

Had good luck in finishing the Axle/CV joint!! Now, 2 days later it starts to run very odd & when I pull over to see whatever, I see the water tank empty & the oil dip stick an odd color and way too full~ Never overheated, but what elst but a head gasket

Well, got it home in the driveway for 75 bucks, just don't feel like looking at it 'cause it's been too much trouble this summer. Can't even do a compression test with those plugs!!

There's not a ton of traffic here - you might want to try R56 as well.

But it definitely sounds like a head gasket... :(

Turbo? If so, get the oil out and flush with fresh oil asap.

For sure - it might be futile, but it's a good idea to have a fresh, controlled data point.

Not a turbo, but, being it ran a couple miles with the water/antifreeze in the oil is there any way to clean it out without a total engine removal & disassemble? It has always used a LOT of oil so maybe this is a good reason to go thru it, but I really don't want to~

Drain And use an air compressor to push bad oil through lines. You can drop the oil pan and use brake cleaner to clean all reachable affected areas. You can Refill with cheap oil and run at idle only for a few minutes. Start the process one more time. Don't rev the motor much as the crank bearings literally float on a thin pad of oil via hydraulic pressure.

Here is a link to someone else who had a similar problem on this site. It had some good info.
