2011 Clubman S - Entertainment Question

Hi Clubman Fam,

My previous mini experience includes an R53 Cooper S (6-Spd) in high school and then an R56 Cooper S (Auto) after. As a young professional, I've realized that I can no longer drive a boring sedan to work anymore. I've settled on a Clubman S (N18). I'm currently looking at a 2011 Clubman S, which seems to have the Harmon Kardon speakers in the a-pillar from the photos. Did this model come standard with Bluetooth, or was that an option? Were the Harmon Kardon speakers optional by themselves or only in the "Premium Entertainment Package"?

Apologies for my ignorance. Thanks for your insights and help!

I have a 2012 Clubman with the HK stereo. The HK system could be had as a stand-alone option, it did not require the fancy navigation system. Unfortunately, Bluetooth audio is not a feature of the system. If you want Bluetooth audio, you'll have to pick up a Bovee Tune-2-Air module.

Thanks for the quick reply. Question regarding the HK system. The car I'm looking at has the HK A-Pillar speakers, but the others don't seem to be noted as HK. If the car has the two A-Pillar speakers, does that mean it has the entire HK option?

None- entertainment question, did you get an Oil catch pan on your car?

If the car has the tweeters on the a-pillars, it has the HK system.

I do not have a catch can.

I use the Tune2Air module in my 2011 Clubman S as well. Works well, emulates an iPod plugged into the USB so you have steering wheel controls, although I'd like to remap some of the buttons to suit my taste. But in general it's a pretty solid device.

The other alternative is to put in a double DIN system, there are numbers of them that are designed to plug right into your Clubman. I've thought about it but the amount of work to get the system in is delaying it since I don't have the time.

I want to do this. my '11 does not have bluetooth or USB. someone told me about the tune2air on here, but i don't remember how it would work because the car only has the aux port.

If you don’t have a USB port, then there are less expensive options you could use. Without the USB port, the tune2air will only act as a Bluetooth receiver, you won’t be able to control the phone from the steering wheel or radio controls. You will just have a wireless aux port.

I would give consideration to something like this:
