Need advice: Is catless too loud?

Hey all. I have a 2017 F-56 JCW. Currently installed a Wagner intercooler, upgraded filter, JCW pro exhaust and JB4. I am thinking about a catless down pipe and RPM tune. I haven’t heard a catless DP with the JCW exhaust. How loud is it? Too loud? Any thoughts or videos would be really helpful. -thanks

I have a 2016 F56 JCW. It still has the stock exhaust (will be swapping it for a Milltek in the coming weeks) but I recently added a catless downpipe and RPM tune. It's definitely louder but not overly so at all. If sounds levels are a worry for you I'd recommend you get the tune with the cold start option which will keep it quieter when you first turn the car on. That's the only time it's obnoxiously loud, and even without the cold start option, it doesn't stay loud for long, or stops instantly by just adding the tiniest bit of throttle input.

I already had the Remus Sport exhaust. I added a catless downpipe and it was way to loud for me. Even with the valve fully closed it was too loud for me. Within in a week I ended up swapping the downpipe out for a high flow cat. The highflow cat is still significantly louder than stock. Right now I have the high-flow cat, Remus sport exhaust, and I had a Borla resonator welded into one of the blank sections just to make the exhaust sound a little more low and grumbley. With the Remus valve fully closed, I think it sounds just right. It's still too loud for my wife though lol.

hey NamBot! What high flow cat did you go with? I am looking for options myself.

I went with the Racing Dynamics sport cat: https://www.racdyn-usa.com/PROD/130+10+56+600.html
