Drivetrain Sneed4Speed Race Axels?
Sneed4Speed Race Axels?
Drove into work this morning with the windows down, and I'm afraid I might have a failing drivers side CV joint
So, I am researching options for replacement axels. Seems like aftermarket axels can be hit or miss for quality, where they could have a tendency to pop out of the diff causing all sorts of issues. I really don't want to spend the $800/each for OEM Mini axels. Which brings me to the Sneed4Speed race axels...
Anyone have any experience with their axels? Looks like they do not come with the bearing bracket for the passenger (right) side, which means I might have to figure out how to remove and install my OEM bracket.
Thoughts? Recommendations?

No experience with those axles, but I just repacked and rebooted my OEM joints a few months ago. No chance you’re going to be able to reuse that OEM bearing. Can’t imagine how it could be removed without getting destroyed in the process. Strongly recommend you just buy a new one along with your axles. IIRC, Rock Auto sells the bearing and bracket.
In that case you should be fine. The bearing is pressed into the bracket and secured with a snap ring. Should be able to remove the snap ring and beat the bracket off of the bearing.
I found this video here that shows the process scottyb043 mentioned. This was an R53 but it should be the same process.
