Aesthetic Fenders (Don't buy them...they don't fit at all stock)
MOMO 18x8.5 et35 CB66.56 Black Satin Wheels
YOKO A052 255/35/18
AutoX this SAT and then SCCA Divisional next Fri/Sat/Sun in Beeville, Texas
I am not completely done but The Mini is ready as it can be for now,,,
Those wheels will probably end up being my everyday wheels,,,saving up some serious money to get some RS5 Litespeed Racing Wheels...Super "Lite" either Forged 18 pounds or Magnesium Wheels which would be ~14 pounds. We will see...
Its rare that I fall down on the sidewalk and look over at my car, and I'm able to see all the way across underneath. Your pictures above are good at showing the wheel fitment, but not great at showing the flares. You did a fantastic job fitting those monstrosities, now show them off!
Street Touring rules : "Modifications should not require cutting, drilling, or permanent alterations to body panels.", and
"Fenders may not be cut or flared but the inside lip may be rolled to gain additional tire clearance. (The outer fender contour may not be changed.) Plastic and rubber wheel well splash shields may be modified for tire clearance and to accommodate a rolled inside fender lip. The modifications may serve no other purpose (e.g., air intake, etc). No other changes to the standard fenders or wheel wells are permitted".
Did you get 255s on within these constraints? If so, congratulations.

XS-A Class is pretty open to mods...It is a Regional Class at this time and getting pretty competitive
The 255/35/18s on the MOMO Wheels (18x8.5 et35 with 12.5mm wheel spacers have worked without any issues so far
I also had installed the Eventuri Carbon Intake system which made the front hood scoop functional so that alone got my out of Street Touring Class AND the Forge Intercooler did the same...
The XS-A Class will let me get down to 2500 pounds for FWD 2.0 Liter so I can remove the rear seats...which I probably will. I WILL NOT remove the AC or Strip the whole interior from the back of the front seat.
I will see what I can do to get close to 2500 pounds without ruining my MINI...Now called the MiniMOMOYOKO ... LOL
Mini did well at AutoX Saturday. The "Grip" was amazing! It actually turned in quicker than I expected and I had to slight turn back out at times. First 3 runs were very consistent...45.223...45.311...45.306. Tires didn't get steaming hot nor did they go far over the sidewalls in wear. Ran them at 33psi front and 31psi rear. Last 2 runs dropped the psi to 32 and 30 and drove them better...44.518...44.205+1 (barely tipped a cone. Pretty happy with the results. With the cone I still won XSA by just over 1.3 seconds. There was definitely a 43.5 or so available...have a Divisional in 2 weeks in Beeville.
higher pressures in the front then the rear? I've always run higher in the rear to keep the back end a little looser on FWD cars.
I have the NM Rear Sway Bar and End links along with NM Rear adjustable rod to set camber. That along with weight distribution is why I set the tires like I do to start with. From here I will be adjusting as things change...The rear end rotates nicely and still doesn't get crazy in a tight or fast slalom. I am all about balance overall and will be removing some weight (rear seats) and possibly taking the battery (Braille 21) to the rear under the flap. I am doing one or two changes/tweeks at a time ... Today I am adding some longer wheel studs so I can safely use the 12.5mm Turner Spacer. The 10mm I used for the AutoX were right on the edge of the last threaded portion of the 14x1.25mm 70mm Overall...55mm Exposed threads/My new ones are 90mm Overall and 75mm Exposed threads.

What setting do you have the rear sway bar on? I just got mine all installed and currently have it on the softest as I didnt want too much rotation as my local autox tends to have a lot of slaloms.

I started on the middle setting...One Front Hole and One Rear Hole. The YOKO A052s are so sticky that I now have them on the stiffest settings and running the rear tires at 30psi.
I can't even begin to describe how awesome that looks! And 255?!?!?! Holy ****!
I have some questions
- Are the spacers for the size of the tires, or more for the wheels?
- What are your camber (front and rear) settings?
- Do you do track days or just AutoX? If you do, I can't wait to hear how this setting, specifically the tires, performs at the track.
Honestly, seeing this setup makes me want to bite the bullet and get a new suspension for my GP3...
1)The 12.5 spacers are to offset the rim et35 and fit the 255's in the fender well
2) 2,1 Front/1.9 Rear
3)I used to road race and might start again,,,maybe,,,I have some offers including an IMSA Mercedes...Just not sure what I want to do yet
XSA Class today... 1st )Porsche Cayanne S 37.918 ... 2nd) My Mini 37.972 I was ahead every run until the 5th run,,,Happy with the results
