Webb Motorsports "Mule" For Sale!

It may or may not happen - but you may have caught me at a lucky time! I want to go to the Runoffs next year and try for a national championship in SCCA - they have reclassified the MINI Cooper S into SSC, making it competitive.

SSC is "Showroom Stock", so the Mule is way too far gone to return to stock. I never ever wanted to sell this car, but I need to, to keep development going on the track. I still may not sell it...

Here is the list:

Motor
Alta intake
WMS throttle body
Alta 15% pulley (available with other options)
WMS intercooler runner and manifold
WMS Ultimate Track Front Mount Intercooler
400cc fuel injectors
Pilo coilpack
Nology HotWires
M7 Plasma Booster
M7 catch can
WMS Performance Head with Schrick cam
Milltek Header
WMS/Magnaflow custom exhaust
Dyno written custom ECU program
Powerflex Bushings
Forge Motorsports coolant overflow tank

Gearbox
Quaife LSD
Tilton full race clutch
Tilton full race 9 lb flywheel
"Special" gearbox oil

Suspension
Leda custom built coilovers with adjustable rebound and compression
Hypercoil springs
WMS Camber Plates
H-Sport Competition front and rear swaybars
H-Sport rear control arms
Powerflex bushings
H-Sport stress brace
WMS swaybar droplinks

Brakes
UUC front brake kit - or AP or B3 (I have all of them here)
Hawk HT-10 front pads (new)
Powerslot rear rotors
Ferodo DS2500 rear pads (new)
Motul RBF600 fluid

Wheel/Tires
Kosei K1 17x7.5"
Toyo RA1 R-compound
Monza 16x6.5"
Hoosier A-compound
Hoosier R-coumpound (unmounted)
S-lites
Runflats

Exterior
Factory aerokit front bumper
Aerokit side skirts
Flares and all trim sanded smooth and painted to match
Carbon intercooler scoop
Excellent paint - Zaino multiple times

Interior
Cobra driver seat
5-point SCCA race harnesses (red)
Custom roll cage (built here, and for a customer car would run $5000)
Rangeline pod with mechanical Autometer oil pressure and boost
Alta short shifter
UUC shift ****
Custom aluminum false floors
Fully functional sunroof
Fire extinguisher
Battery cutoff switch intergrated into cage

This car is fully sorted - corner weighed, dynoed and track tested. It is ready to go. It has proven to be one of the fastest MINIs in the US, and probably in the world. I do not want to sell it, and if I do, I'm sure I will regret it, but I also need to build a car to competitive class specs.

I have untold hours into this car in both installations and testing. I would fear to count the labor cost of this car.

The above list of parts gives you an idea of the cost in parts. It would be roughly $28,000 just to order the parts - and some of them would have to be custom built!

The MSRP for the car was a tick more than $24,000.

If you add up the labor, parts and MSRP, this car has more than $60,000 in it!

I have gone through the entire car and freshened everything. It has new shift cables (a known weak point), new fluids, new pads - ready to race. It is not much of a street car anymore, as it scares small children and most breeds of dogs. This would be sold to an enthusiast who loves the track.

I would let it go for $36,000 - a true steal. You better hurry though, as I may come to my senses and pull it back off the market at any time!

Contact me for details.

Selling the "Mule" again I'll believe it when I see it $36K a very good price, actually closer to a steal. I know you have mixed emotions on selling it. I saw the new SSC classification in SportsCar last week and thought .
I have an itch to get back and would love to see you in my mirrors at the Run Offs

I know both, I've ridden with both, and being a former competition instructor and SCCA Regional and National winner, my judgement is, it could be very interesting....if only Apexer could lose a few pounds I know the fire and the ability is still there.......Age & treachery will overcome youth & enthusiam

So... are you Randy's body guard? I know Randy well enough to know that he took my comment with the jest it was meant. However, since you don't know me, I question your feeling of him lapping me. "I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was" OOPS, thats another subject . I'm sure sharing Mid-Ohio with Randy would be a blast, just need to shed some weight... anybody know where I can get a carbon fiber ***

As should you have seen the in my post to Randy. Now, lets leave this topic to those who have an interest in buying Randy's very special Mini.
My apologies Randy. Was just wanted to make a joke to you on a personal basis.

Sheesh!

Funny stuff - bring it old man!

The car is an '02, and has around 12,000 miles on it.

The scoop is a prototype that we will have available shortly. that one is a top piece, and the new one will be a replacement for the current scoop.

Depends on how archaic your state regulations are...I know in Virginia you are not allowed to have a roll cage in a street car???? and they WILL stop you in a heartbeat for that. Check with your local DMV. It's only a stupid question if you don't know the answer, and don't ask.

It is in Colorado. It will be iffy in some states for sure - there is still a cat, and the front airbags are in place.

The side airbags and seat airbags are no longer in the car, but I have them.

I would only want to sell the car to someone who will be using it on the track too though. It should be driven on the track, as that is what it was built for.

Thanks!

Please check mileage

12K miles??? Doesn't seem quite right with all the testing you've done.

This is still available - I have done testing over three different cars, and track time gets things done quick! The mileage is 13,7xxx.

The car is still for sale, albeit half-heartedly. I need to sell to build an SSC car, but I just can't bring myself to do it! Make an offer, and it may go.

I would put this up against any MINI on the track. Take a look around at some of the other offerings modded to this level, and you will find this a very good price. Nuzzo has two cars up for sale at $65,000 each, and Mini Mania has their car up (with less money in it than the Mule) for $38,000.

Hope that helps!

Put it up for sale in www.cars.com I just sold my pristine '04 MCS in just 6 days after placing the ad. Get the $50 "premium" add that includes 12 photos and runs until it sells...It really works!

OK guys - it is closing in on time to build a car if I'm going to for the '05 season.

This car needs to go within the next couple of weeks - I can bring it to your door if need be. If not, it is coming back off the market.

I wanted to race at the SCCA Runoffs (in a competitive class like SSC), but I will take regional and MINI events with the Mule if need be for another year - I have a GS autocross ride in an '05 for this season anyway.

Act soon!!
