The 4 car doors lock with both things, but the 2 barn doors don't. I've had the car for a year and I never noticed that. I assume that's a setting in the menu right? You can tell I don't lock it a lot rught?

 

Where's the key when you're trying to open the boot? It will open when locked if the key is in your pocket (I assume you know this, but just in case...).

I know you can set which doors to unlock when using the fob, but I don't remember seeing any options related to only locking some doors but not everything. Could be wrong, but that seems like it would be a very uncommon choice.

 

Try your owner's manual. If you do not have one, go to the MINI Owners tab (MINI USA), look for the Clubman section, select your year and scroll to page 77.

 

Owners manual says all of the doors will lock (including the back ones) if I press the button on the driver's door handle (with the fob in my pocket) but the rear ones do not only the 4 side entry doors. Same thing with the fob when I lock it. Back doors stay unlocked. So my car's back doors cannot be locked it must be a software glitch.

 

I'm with chrunck - do you have convenience opening? If so the barn doors will open if the key is nearby. Have to tried locking, leaving the key in the house and checking to unlock? Do they lock when you lock the doors with the door mounted switch?
