I’ve got a 2013 R56 JCW with the automatic transmission. My car is sitting in my garage. Car is turned off. Transmission is in Park yet, the “P” is illuminated. Is there a problem that needs to be addressed ? Any advise would be helpful. Thanks

 

It should be normal as long as it eventually turns off when the car fully powers down On the 1st gens I think it’s about 10-15 minutes after the key is removed. Not sure on the later cars, but I’ve read as long as 90 minutes, although that seems too long.

Have you checked it after a short time, or is it still on in the morning? (Just looking through the window before opening the door, unlocking, or using any comfort access feature)

 

I went out this morning and it was NOT illuminated. Thanks for the info.
