Will power tap off brake switch cause fluctuation?

In a previous thread, it was suggested that, to feed an accessory gauge (in this case an oil temperature gauge), tapping 12v off the brake light switch on the brake pedal support would be an excellent and easily accessed location. My concern is: When the brake pedal is pressed, will it cause the gauge needle to fluctuate?
