I'm planning to pick up 2013 Countryman S with only 55k miles from private seller. I went to his place and checked engine room and it was really clean and didn't see any leaks. Engine sounds really healthy as well.
There were few problem I've found while checking out. one was rear 2 tires were needed to be replaced. the other one was that rear passenger side door won't open since door handle was broken, I did see some scratches on the door so It seemed there had been in accident or something (picture below). I'm planning to purchase door handle from ebay or other parts store online and DIY however, I can't find any youtube videos about replacement especially countryman model. Anybody had experience with door handle replacement? Is it going to be hard?
BTW, I will post the car once I pick it up tomorrow!
it's possible something got bent in the door mechanism.
Dan
Just picked up the car and the previous owner fixed the issue at the shop and now door works perfect.
I'm planning to do some maintenance service by myself over weekend. I've got mobil 1 5w-30 synthetic oil and am going to pick up oil filter at O'reilly store.
I feel like there are some misfire at idle since rpm is little up and down so I think i might have to replace spark plugs? there is no check engine or something but I feel like previous owner didn't care about maintenance stuff.
What do you guys recommend for spark plugs? I would really appreciate if you send me a link or model number if possible.
The car hits 55k now so Is there anything I missed for the service?
Thank you https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/b...l+filter&pos=0
Will need a 27mm socket to remove the filter and an 8mm Allen wrench for the drain plug, plus 10mm socket or wrench to remove coolant tank. Some good references on this site for assistance.

I've replaced spark plugs and had oil change yesterday. I found out oil was leaking from oil drain plug gasket.. I noticed that this car had to use OEM one anyway I drained oil again and picked up oem gasket at the dealership and pour new engine oil again (I didn't want to pour used one back in it even though It ran only 10 miles). oil change was definitely first thing to do when you buy a used car but I kinda hoped oil change and spark plugs made change for idle problem however, It didn't seem like working. I recorded a few videos as a reference. RPM moves up and down slightly (not erratically) and I do feel little vibration when rpm goes little down and I don't know why rpm bounce up and down when I shift. Please advise!
Maybe your injectors? But you really need more info/troubleshooting before you spend money. If it were related to that and not anything to do with transmission, etc, you should get the same effect in neutral. I've seen this behavior with a failing fuel pump, but again, that is nearly meaningless. The point is it can be a lot of things.
That looks like ash foul on the plug to far left, but...so what. In other words, I wouldn't go throwing parts at it. My gut approach is always fuel, spark, and air. You've done spark...those plugs don't look like they're getting too much fuel, they're either normal or slightly lean to my failing eyes. That, combined with your tac is why I thought fuel at all.
So, you might try air filter (a stretch admittedly, but also a cheap one). And then proceed. How many miles? Injectors should be good for at least 60K if not much much higher, like 100K. Ash can be caused by fuel additives, junk fuel, etc. Any chance the previous owner ran the car on caster oil (joking).
I guess my takeaway here, would be to give it more time. And I am hardly a Mini expert, but there are definitely some on here. Hopefully they'll chime.

It ran only 55k. I might have to start with air filter you've mentioned. Thank you
