My brother in law got an email from FCP on suggested clearance items for his R53. Sent me a link, and the item was for a full catback Borla exhaust....priced at $14.20.
I took a chance and order it, and got this random fitting for an oil catch can (see pic below). I called FCP, and mentioned to them about the mixup and they offered to send me a full refund and keep the screw.
Fast forward to the following day, i get a call from FCP and they mentioned that i was about to have an awesome day. They called to tell me that they'll be honoring the $14.20 price for the Borla, and that i should receive it in a couple of weeks due to the fact that they prize themselves in sticking with their price guarantees. I could NOT believe it! They have since changed the price back to their retail price of $905, but what a Christmas gift for my BIL!!!!
one thing we just realized is the exhaust is for an 04-06....didn't realize the 02-03 had a different mounting configuration. In any case, anyone have experience with installing a late model Borla onto an earlier model R53? I looked up diagram pics of the two, and it just appears the inner hangers would need to be bent forward to the car...in order for us to use the 04-06 Borla.
