Scorpion exhaust...why so inexpensive?

I'm looking for a cat-back exhaust and did some searching here, found some of y'all talking highly about Scorpion. I found one online for $580 or so, and am stunned, as most of the other I've looked at are $850 & up. I've been considering Milltek, Stratmosphere, Magnaflow, and maybe even Borla.

I haven't read anything bad about Scorpion but am really surprised at the price. Is it just a good deal or am I missing something?

It's a very well built exhaust. The price is what sold me on it.

Seems to be a nice sound...for the price. I have ridden in a car with one (LOL, the poster above, at a tune event, to get lunch a few years back), and in the cabrio it was pretty nice...not ricey or tinny like the cheaper ones, but just a bit less rumble, a slightly higher pitch than the milteck/sratous.
Things are priced by what the market will bear...and with ONLY 1 US IMPORTER, it is NOT well known....the seller is pretty well respected regionaly in the BMW market...and they have been growing the MINI parts list...but the r53 parts they offered were pretty limited....but a well respected seller, good support, and a KNOWN OEM....pretty safe bet IMO. As a non-sponsor...they simply do not get much PR here.
Been thinking this exhaust might be the one to get soon...my OEM one is on its last legs, and I just cannot justify the $850+ on a Milteck/Stratous, but want a decent sound with no drone.

The M2 on Evil bay seems to sound good for a similar $$, but the fit is...er...crappy...and that is being nice...needs welding some..er..persusaion to fit...welds do look good though!!

Then there is the MINI-Maddness one (actually the e-bay one the seller appears to re-label)...folks like it..quality is OK for the $$ (ebay price, NOT retail).

Just got the Scorpion (Playmini UK) exhaust installed yesterday. I missed out their clearance a year back @ $300usd for the system . Couldn't stand it anymore and took the plunge with their 10% off sale.

Need to replace 1 of the clamps as it rattles like crazy even tho it's all tighten up.
