2009 MCS 66K has new Battery a couple months ago. First I started having problems with the ABS/DSC error lights popping up. Then had problems starting the car twice. I just kept pushing the start button and after 10 minutes the car finally started. That happened 2 times while leaving work, but no problem starting the car to go to work. Sometimes the car would start and sometimes nothing at all.
Now the car will not start and the dash lights light up and go off with no sound. I retrieved codes, but I dont fully understand them. Hoping someone here can shead some light on the codes.
This sounds like a CAS (car access system) failure. Pin 15 on the CAS is what sends the WUP (wake up signal) to the other computers to come online. One of your errors indicates this line is missing and with your periodic trouble starting it sounds likely. If you have good battery voltage check pin 15 on the CAS and see if you've got full battery voltage on that line.
I was planning on getting a couple of guys together to push the Mini into the garage to start tearing it apart. After 3 weeks the car fire up like there was nothing wrong. I drive it around and parked it in the garage and shut it off and then it would not start again. No clicking no half start, only dash lights flashing on and off with ko sound. Mini of Seattle, Washington has a new CAS module for 389.00. I live in Pa. and my dealer wants 513.00 for the same part. I wish I new for sure this was the part I needed, because I cant return it.
Just wanted to give an update on my MCS. It turned out to be a bad CAS module. I bought another one that was remanufactured and programmed with my key for 280.00 shipped with a 3yr warranty from RPM on ebay. Running the car for a week now and no problems.
Where on their site is it 280? was that just the recoding, or also including the new CAS? i dont see anything that cheap on their website. i take it you have to send in the old CAS and key right?

This was also a year ago. I sent in my CAS module and my key fob. If It would have cost me more i would have said so. They probably up there prices like everyone else out there.
Derp, i looked over the part where you said you bought a reman CAS. Did you just get that off ebay? how quick was the turn around once you sent them the reman and key fob?
