Trailer Hitch

Hey guys, I have a 2013 r56 jcw. I’ve bought 2 trailer hitches already and they were both wrong. Anyone have any clue or advice about getting the correct hitch?

Out Motoring is the owner of the MniDoMore brand of hidden hitches and offers the full range here on our website

I just had a hitch put Loki, he is a R59 JCW. I used the minidomore hitch from outmotoring. Email them to be sure you get the correct hitch.
Just a note: If you get the wiring kit, it is not 100% correct and you will need to use your test light to confirm correct wires. I have the JCW rear bumper and the supplied template for cutting the hole in the bumper for the hitch is NOT correct. You will need to measure for the hole. Do not use the template to cut the hole.

The JCW rear bumpers pose the problem as you've found out.

These guys and the super nice (but super expensive) Mini Fini brand are the only ones I've found for the R56 with the JCW rear bumper.

TorkLift-Central does not require you to cut into the bumper.

The MINI-FINI does require you to hole-saw two holes, but...IMO, the result looks factory if you are careful with your drilling.

I haven't seen others for the Specific rear-bumper on an R56/8/9 JCW Mini.

.

If I had the $$$... I'd go with the MINI-FINI ... It looks the cleanest.
You can get it ready for bike racks, with 2" or 1.25" receivers, ball mounts etc.

Can you post pics?

Where does the bumper exit with the Do-More hitch?

How big of hole did you need to cut in the bumper plastic?

Thank you in advance

I have a Mini-Do-More receiver mounted on my 2009 factory JCW Clubman. In 2009 the JCW bumper kit was optional and my car doesn’t have that. With the license plate in position, the receiver is completely hidden. The license plate mounts to the lower holes to reveal the opening to mount the drawbar...

Thank you for the input..... that would be an easy install indeed in your 55.

The clubman R55 bumpers and the Hardtop R56 rear bumpers are completely different.
